Mount Holly-The sun Beating down on the blacktop at Milldam Park didn't stop dozens of children from gathering to play basketball twice a week.
The free summer league, which ran during July, drew players from Eastampton, Lumberton, Mount Holly, Pemberton Twp. and Willingboro.
Teams weren't restricted to having players from only one town, sometimes many other leagues stipulate, and parents said they couldn't beat the price.
Referee Anthony Loren of Mount Holly, organized the program after offering summer clinics last year.
