Anthony is a passionate filmmaker, author and poet .
Born and raised in the streets and playgrounds of Harlem, Bronx and Brooklyn, New York.
As a youth, Anthony began to write short essays and poems about his troubled childhood.
This passion for story telling would years later segue him into a Hip Hop artist.
Raised during the underground Hip Hop era. Anthony recorded several singles in the late '80's and performed on tour with some well known Original Hip Hop personalities. He played basketball and studied Computer Science while attending The Boro of Manhattan Community College. For many years, he has been a fan of the arts, and this desire has helped propel his talent as an artist in film and poetry.
Anthony has also been a student of film at Scribe Video, his work includes Camden High, A Documentary on Coach Clarence Turner and the Camden High basketball program. Two of his published books are Expressions of the Soul, which is a book of collected poems...and The Devil said "I Do"; a story about  marriage, divorce and generational curse.

Teacher and Coaching Bio 
                
Anthony Loren has played and coached basketball for over 30 years.
He became a student Athlete at Louis D. Brandeis H.S. before enrolling in The Boro of Manhattan Community College,
where Queen Latifah played on the women's team in 1988.

He led the team in scoring and assists, averaging 25 ppg and six apg from 1984-1986. He was named first team all-conference and MVP in 1986.  He later played in many professional leagues in New York City, helping his teams to three championships from 1990-1994. In 1991 he achieved MVP honors in the Corporate Pro League after leading the league in scoring (30 ppg).
He led that league in assists in 1992, averaging 12 apg.

In 1995 Anthony decided to make South Jersey his home. Here he became a substitute teacher, Student Mentor and High School Basketball Coach. After improving the program and moral of the team; Anthony Loren began Coaching on the collegiate level for several years, at Rutgers University.

        In addition to officiating High School basketball games in 2003, Anthony became the Director of the Jr. NBA/WNBA League. Where he's worked with professional athlete's in camp's for the benefit of the youth. 

        During the summer he trains and coach's Pro Teams in South Jersey, where he's won four straight championships. His team went undefeated from 2003-2006, posting a county record, 55 wins - 0 loses. He was named the Coach of the Year in 1995, 1998, and 2005.

From 1990-1995, Anthony Loren coached children in the Junior Knicks League, Starrett City Program, Greater Brownsville League and Beacon Program in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a player/coach in the West 4th Pro League, Nickelodeon Pro League, Strickly Players and Tillary Park.

        In addition to basketball, Anthony is involved in community services. He became a Recreation Coordinator for an After School Program; and successfully created jobs, and programs for adults, senior citizens and the youth in the community. He was nominated for Volunteer of the Year in 2002 by the Burlington County Times. Later, he received the Community Service Award in 2003. He has helped many children in the community attend college and gain employment. Today, he continues to influence the youth in their quest for education and basketball...and volunteers his time in community events and sports.
